In a glass-fibre compound material (PBT GF 20) in grey, with extreme ruggendness, to be used as coil-form or insulator for vertical-antennas.

As a coil-form, we recommend stranded wires with polyethylene- or teflon-insulation. If necessary, in separate sections (see picture) for reducing stray capacities! The IS-150g can be plugged into metal tubes of 12mm inner dia, and a screening by a tube of 42mm inner dia is possible. A "wild coiling" into all 8 sections resulted in about 25uH of inductivity, the wire has been a stranded insulated 1,5mm² Cu! But we have to point out that such coiling cannot reach the qualities of a regular cylindric coil. But it is sufficient for a provisional prolongation of a short wire antenna thus enabling f. i. to work on 160m without problems. Also good for fieldday-activities, trimming too short wires into qrg!
